Kråkmo Chronicles
Reframing the Journey
Date:
May 30, 2025
I’ve always believed that form should follow feeling. And the way my work is presented — the way people find and feel it — needs to reflect the same clarity, grit, and energy I bring to my films. That’s why I decided to build a new home for Krakmo Film. This journal entry dives into the choices behind the new site: what changed, why it matters, and how this space is designed to bring clients, stories, and visuals closer together.
A Need for Simplicity
The old setup no longer fits. My work had grown — not just in volume, but in personality. The projects had more edge, more honesty, more soul. I needed a platform that could showcase that without distraction. A site where the visuals lead, the text supports, and the viewer is never lost in fluff. The goal wasn’t to impress — it was to connect. Quickly, clearly, and confidently.
A Focus on Storytelling
Every frame I capture tells a story. So why shouldn’t my site do the same? Instead of building a generic portfolio grid, I leaned into a journal-style format. Visitors can explore the journey behind each project — not just what was made, but how and why it came to life. It’s a space that values process, not just polished results. It gives room for grit, reflection, and the unexpected moments that shape the work.
Designed for Action
This site isn’t just a gallery — it’s a working tool. It’s where potential collaborators can hear directly from past clients, get a sense of how I work, and reach out without any friction. The layout is intentionally direct, with clear paths to contact, case studies, and journals. It’s built rough, like the road trips I film from, but refined where it needs to be — fast, responsive, and stripped of noise.
Conclusion
KrakmoFilm.no is built for where I'm now and where I’m heading next. It reflects my approach: visual-first, rooted in reality, and open to experimentation. Whether you’re here to browse, connect, or collaborate, I hope the site gives you a sense of the work, the people behind it, and the journey still unfolding.
